The Magic Club of Great Britain was founded in 1998 by Eugene Matthias who at the time was the Managing Director and Chairman of O.I.D. Magic Ltd, one of the oldest manufactures, importer and suppliers of magic in Europe having been established since 1991.

Since it's beginnings The Magic Club of Great Britain has now grown from strength to strength and now has over 1,900 members world wide.

Top names from The Magic Circle, The Magic Castle in Hollywood and the world of magic have joined the Magic Club of Great Britain's team to make this one of the most successful clubs to date.

David Penn, member of The Magic Circle and winner of the Inner Magic Circles close up magician of the year award and one of Britain's top magicians has joined as our Professional Magic consultant and course director of our School of Magic.

John Star member of The Magic Circle and The Magic Castle in Hollywood has joined and will be running schools of magic for us and giving lectures at club nights.

Matthew Garrett and Richard Dimmock both members of The Magic Circle helping with Schools of Magic, shows, lectures and club nights.

George Kovari one of Hungary’s leading magicians. George was born in Budapest but is now resident in London.

Not only is George known for his performances in Europe and the USA, but amongst magicians he is known for supplying a number of original creations, manufactured in his own workshop, to professional magicians around the world.

These are just a few of the people involved with many volunteers giving up their own time to help with our success.

We are a club with dealer status therefore able to give our members easy access to all types of magic from all around the world. We have club nights which are open to beginners up to Professional and juniors to adults , we run our own schools of magic where you will often be taught by members of The Magic Circle. Plus we arrange trips to the Magic Circle itself and organize a large magic convention most years.

Although we have a dealer status we are no longer a dealership. However this allows the clubs propmaster to keep the club well stocked with basics which are available to club members upon request. Although only voluntary the club does ask for a donation sufficiant to replace any props used. The club reserves the right to refuse provision of props where it feels fit and abiility to withdraw the service should it become unsustainable.
